Job description

About the role:

In this Sr. Business Development role, you will be primarily prospect-focused, owning outreach and go-to-market strategy execution within your designated accounts in the South European region. Operating with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, you will drive interactions, build, and nurture relationships. Your goal is to develop a solid and sustainable sales pipeline across Blue Yonder’s market-leading portfolio and platform.

You will work closely with key functions including Marketing, Sales, Alliances, Industry Strategy, and our Solution Advisory team. What You’ll Do:

  1. Use prospecting strategies to initiate outreach and build relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts (C-level).
  2. Analyze potential customers' critical needs and challenges, identify and qualify their budgets, timelines, and obstacles for handoff to the appropriate sales personnel.
  3. Determine prospects' interest and recommend suitable Blue Yonder products and services.
  4. Manage your assigned territory, covering as many contacts as possible.
  5. Participate in sales opportunity reviews and collaborate with Account Managers in your territory.
  6. Achieve quarterly lead generation goals set by sales management.
  7. Communicate effectively with sales management via in-person meetings, phone, email, and system updates.
  8. Qualify inbound and outbound leads through various channels using independent judgment.
  9. Create, analyze, and execute pre-packaged marketing and lead-generation programs.
  10. Track sales activities and admin tasks in the sales system to maintain communication within the sales team.
  11. Overcome objections and communicate Blue Yonder’s value propositions to key decision-makers effectively.
  12. Participate actively in developing new techniques and strategies to market Blue Yonder’s products and secure new accounts.

What we are looking for:

  1. Minimum 3 years of inside sales/telemarketing experience in the software industry.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Commercial, or Technology.
  3. Personable, outgoing, helpful, and able to initiate engaging conversations.
  4. Proven track record of exceptional lead generation results.
  5. Experience working in a team sales environment.
  6. Ability to handle projects with minimal supervision.
  7. Knowledge of SFA/CRM/contact management software; Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and either Spanish or Italian.
  9. Minimal travel required.
