Job Description:

The Amazon Fuse team creates convenience for our customers to experience Amazon services wherever they are. We acquire partner distribution for Amazon Subscriptions (e.g., Prime, Prime Video, Amazon Music Unlimited) and mobile applications (e.g., Shopping, Video, Music, Kindle, Audible) around the world.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development (Strategic Development) for Europe. In this role, you will drive four key initiatives:

  1. Secure new and manage existing distribution partnerships for our consumer subscriptions portfolio (including Prime, Prime Video), with major telecommunications companies and multichannel video programming distributors across Europe.
  2. Help shape and champion Fuse EU's mid to long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with global objectives and marketplace opportunities.
  3. Spearhead innovative partnerships in emerging verticals such as energy, sports, finance, and media, while developing new commercial frameworks that drive mutual value.
  4. Collaborate across Amazon's diverse teams—including finance, product, and commercial—to ensure successful resource allocation and delivery of innovative partnership pilots.
Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies with Telecom, Media distribution companies, and other segments across European marketplaces.
  • Foster senior partner executive relationships and drive deal re-negotiations, while maintaining effective cross-departmental alignment.
  • Source and negotiate complex partnership agreements, managing the full cycle from initial contact through to contract signing.
  • Lead internal approvals and due diligence processes, ensuring deals meet stakeholder needs and secure business approval.
  • Drive Fuse EU's mid to long-term strategy development, ensuring alignment with global teams and product roadmaps.
  • Maintain a pipeline of innovative deal pilots across new verticals and commercial constructs, ensuring proper resourcing, delivery, and evaluation of learning outcomes.
  • Position the EU as an innovation hub for the global Fuse business through strategic test and learn pilots.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading complex, time-sensitive strategic business development negotiations in media, telecommunications, or a relevant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business development at all stages of the funnel.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Proven organizational skills, including prioritizing and meeting deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on complex entertainment distribution deals in media, telecommunications, or other relevant sectors.
  • Understanding of the entertainment marketplace and passion for content.
  • Track record of building and maintaining a network of professional relationships.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong analytical and commercial modeling skills.
  • Passion for tackling big challenges and continuous learning.
