Job Description

INTRODUCTION:

The ideal Senior Billing Analyst is an administrator and accounting liaison to internal and external customers, while providing support to the department to maintain quality billing. Coordinates, maintains, recommends processes and tools, maintains exceptional communications, training, and methodologies to ensure the success of client’s account. This position reports to the Billing Operations Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

1. Coordinate with Professional Services, Client Success, Account Managers, Customers, Revenue Operations, IT, Sales, Accounting, and Finance teams to optimize processes and ensure accurate and timely billing using multiple software programs (including Workday, Salesforce Billing, ChargeBee, and proprietary systems) to generate invoices for services, hardware, and software subscriptions.
2. Administrator and accounting liaison for internal and external customers; including deductions, reimbursements, fees, various research requests, and applicable analysis.
3. Provide support and input for various accounting reconciliations (ChargeBee, iSeries, Commerce).
4. Process required reports for month end closure and facilitate financial operations.
5. Participate in new employee training and training program development.
6. Work directly with the Discontinue team to facilitate the changes needed in billing and Accounts Receivable.
7. Other duties as assigned by management.
8. Regular and reliable attendance required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1. 5+ years’ experience in billing in a high-volume and multi-platform environment.
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including at least intermediate Microsoft Excel.
3. Attention to details, well organized and a collaborative mindset.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
6. Skilled to make sound decisions and take calculated risks.
7. Solving problems using deductive reasoning skills in a timely manner.
8. Basic skills including but not limited to addition, multiplication and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
9. Flexibility and adaptability to frequent change.

AND IT'S GREAT TO HAVE:

1. Workday ERP experience.
2. Experience understanding accounting system functionality.
3. Experience with payment processing and/or software-as-a-service industries.
4. Private equity background.
5. 1+ years of accounting experience.
6. Strong customer orientation and teamwork skills.
7. Detail-oriented and able to make sound decisions.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
