Job summary

Amazon’s Blink/Ring ASIC team is seeking a Sr. ASIC Design Engineer to shape future SoC for smart home devices in Cambridge. You’ll architect, design, and verify high-performance, low-power silicon that powers millions of homes and customer experiences.

You will lead microarchitecture discussions, mentor engineers, and drive end-to-end RTL-to-timing workflows, while collaborating with verification and validation teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with UVM and Matlab.
  • Experience delivering products to volume production.
  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in low power design techniques.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture specifications translating product vision into technical reality.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers in implementation.
  • Own end-to-end process from RTL delivery through synthesis, power analysis, and timing closure.
  • Collaborate with verification and validation teams to ensure flawless execution.
  • Evaluate emerging IP blocks and drive architectural trade-offs to accelerate time-to-market.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of UVM and Matlab
  • Experience developing products for volume production

  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in RTL coding and debug, as well as performance, power, area analysis and trade-offs
  • Experience with modern ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools
  • Experience with physical implementation flows
