PositionSummary:

The (Sr.) Application Engineer will work closely with the commercial and engineering teams to develop proposalsfornewstorageprojectopportunitiesandprovidetechnicalsupporttoaddresscustomerneeds. A senior-level position will be considered for candidates with the right experience.

Key Responsibilities

• BeatechnicalliaisonfortheSalesteamtocustomersandpartners,andanexpertresourcefor general product specifications and value engineering discussions.
• AnalyzeRFPorothercustomerdocumentationtodetermineprojectscope,schedule, specifications, risk, and technical requirements.
• Developsizemodelsandconceptualdrawingssets(Electricalsingle-linediagrams,sitelayouts, etc.).
• Preparetechnicaldocumentationforproposalsandcoordinatethebidpackagepreparation with other departments.
• Workcloselywithsalesstaff,engineeringandprocurementtoensurecompleteandshared project understanding and priorities.
• Conducttechnicalpresentationsandprovideclarificationstocustomersandother departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’sdegreeinengineering(preferablyElectricalorMechanical)isrequired;agraduate degree is strongly preferred.
• Directexperienceinbatteryenergystoragesystemsorutility-scalesolar,preferablyasan applications engineer.
• ProficientinAutoCADorrelatedsoftware.
• Exceptionaltechnicalaptitudeincludingtheabilitytoreadandfullyunderstandengineering schematics, technical advisory reports and technology reviews.
• SolidunderstandingofregulatorystandardsintheUKrelatedtoenergystorageandgrid- interactive inverters.
• Globalperspectiveandawareness,anddirectexperienceworkingacrossdiverseculturesina multinational company would be beneficial.
• Anexcellenttimemanager,abletobalancemultipleprojectsandprioritizeabroadvarietyof issues, initiatives and objectives concurrently.
