Sr. Accountant - Manufacturing Sector - London

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team within an international manufacturing group based in London. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting tasks, financial reporting, and supporting budgeting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Drive the month-end close process: journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Support year-end statutory and group reporting requirements
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
• Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies
• Work collaboratively with operations, procurement, and supply chain functions to resolve accounting queries
• Support process improvements and implementation of best accounting practices

Qualifications & Experience

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist)
• 4–8 years accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial business
• Strong knowledge of management reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
