Job summary

A learning and development company in the UK is seeking a Squad Lead to enhance software delivery through leadership and collaboration. This role is based in our Product and Innovation function. Here we innovate and play to develop new, and evolve existing Products and Services, with a focus on customer-centricity, innovation, and product development. Within the Product Technology team we follow an iterative agile process and a continuous integration and continuous delivery approach, supported by an automated release pipeline.

We’re growing our team and looking for a Squad Lead, someone who’s passionate about enabling great software delivery through strong leadership, collaboration, and technical awareness.

As a Squad Lead, while you will remain close to the technical output of your team, your primary responsibility isn’t writing code - it’s enabling your team to succeed. You’ll coach and support a cross-functional squad of engineers, contribute to planning and delivery processes, and build an environment where people feel empowered to do their best work. You’ll work closely with a Product Manager to shape the squad’s roadmap, plan delivery, and ensure work is aligned to customer needs and organisational priorities.

You’ll stay close to the technology, maintaining a strong grasp of our systems and architecture, and using that insight to guide conversations, unblock delivery, and help your team solve the right problems.

What we’re looking for
