Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support and optimise our Microsoft SQL environment across on‑premise and cloud platforms. This role is based at our Rushmere location and involves ensuring database security, performance, and availability.

You’ll manage SQL Server instances, perform upgrades, and lead migration projects while supporting high availability and disaster recovery strategies. On‑call support will be part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA in a complex enterprise environment.
• Expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, security, HA/DR, and Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of SQL scripting, PowerShell, and database administration best practices.
• Experience working within ITIL service management environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
