Job summary

A leading global manufacturing client is seeking a SQL Developer for a D365 data migration programme. This remote role requires monthly presence in the Hampshire office and involves extensive work with MS SQL Server and Azure technologies, focusing on developing hybrid solutions and data management processes.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of development experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Experience developing with PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
• Exposure to multi-platform integration, preferably involving MS Azure.

My Global Manufacturing client is seeking a SQL Developer to join a D365 data migration programme. This role is remote with a requirement to be in the Hampshire office once a month.

Tasks/Responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server platform
• Developing hybrid solutions using SSIS, SSRS, SQL Agent, Microsoft Azure (including Synapse, Data Factory, and Dataverse)
• Support and maintain application connectivity via APIs, FTP, and SFTP
• Create and maintain T-SQL, PowerShell scripts, and code as needed
• Manipulate and work with data formats such as JSON, XML, delimited text, Excel
• Familiarity with .NET development, Microsoft tools, and DevOps practices
• Develop data pipelines, transformations, and data maintenance processes
• Implement best practices for information and document management
• Gather requirements, make recommendations, and estimate effort
• Design database models for SQL Server, Azure DB, and Dataverse
• Develop integrations between operational systems
• Basic knowledge of Office 365, Azure AD, and the Azure ecosystem

Experience/Knowledge

• Multiple years of development experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL and related technologies
• Experience developing with PowerShell or similar scripting languages
• Exposure to multi-platform integration, preferably involving MS Azure
• Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM, RAD, KANBAN) using Azure DevOps or similar
• Knowledge of MS Power Platform technologies, especially PowerApps
