Are you ready to use your SQL and SSRS expertise to deliver insights that drive real business decisions? This 6-month contract offers the chance to have an immediate impact, creating reports and dashboards that directly support manufacturing, sales, and compliance across a respected UK manufacturer.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering SQL and SSRS reports that the business can rely on every day. From optimising queries and stored procedures to building intuitive dashboards, your work will help stakeholders make smarter, faster decisions.

This is a hands-on role where collaboration is key you’ll work with teams across production, sales, and quality assurance to understand their needs and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy SSRS reports and dashboards
• Write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
• Work with business teams to deliver accurate insights on key metrics
• Enhance existing reports for scalability, performance, and usability
• Troubleshoot issues with data integrity and report functionality
• Document processes and support data governance initiatives

About You

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• 2+ years SQL development experience with strong query-writing skills
• Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and visualisations
• Understanding of relational databases and basic ETL concepts
• Clear communicator who can turn business needs into technical solutions
• Desirable: exposure to manufacturing ERP systems, CAD/CAM, or BI best practices

What’s on Offer

• 6-month FTC | £35,000 per annum pro rata (£17,500 for the contract term)
• 39-hour week: Mon–Thu 08:30–17:15, Fri 08:30–16:15 (45-min lunch)
