Job summary

Jameson Legal Tech in London is hiring a SQL Server Developer for a permanent role at a growing legal software consultancy. This hands-on role covers development and troubleshooting across a range of database environments, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-performance solutions.

You will design and maintain T-SQL procedures, optimise performance, and contribute to indexing strategies. Azure SQL Database experience and the ability to quickly become productive in a mature environment are

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL Server expertise with hands-on experience.
• Experience with a large, mature database schema.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and become productive.
• Experience in regulated environments (legal) desirable.
• Hands-on development and tuning on Azure SQL Database.

A new opportunity has come up for a SQL Server Developer to join a growing legal software consultancy. This is a permanent position based in London.

This is a hands-on development and troubleshooting role and requires somebody that has worked across a range of database environments and can get up to speed quickly.

• Designing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures.
• Providing troubleshooting support across a range of priorities.
• Investigating and resolving database performance issues.
• Indexing strategy, query optimisation and locking and blocking.
• Reading and interpreting execution plans to identify and resolve performance plans.

Skills and experience required:

• Advanced working knowledge of SQL Server.
• Demonstrable experience working inside a large, mature schema.
• Proven experience of becoming productive and getting up to speed quickly.
• A background in legal or another highly regulated environment would be beneficial.
• Hands-on development and tuning on Azure SQL Database.
