Job summary

Hall&Kay Fire Engineering is seeking a Service Engineer to handle servicing, maintenance, repairs and replacements of sprinkler pipework across regional sites. The role is ideal for someone entering or returning to the sprinkler industry and offers varied PPM and small works opportunities.

Key responsibilities include servicing valve sets, performing 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps, and conducting routine service checks.

Qualifications

• Essential: experience servicing Wet, Dry, Alternate, Deluge and Pre-Action valve sets.
• Essential: carry out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler pumps.
• Essential: plumbing/piping knowledge and fault finding on sprinkler systems.
• Essential: full UK driving licence for regional coverage.
• Desirable: Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualification.
• Desirable: experience in commercial/industrial buildings.
• Desirable: experience with small works installations.
• Desirable: familiarity with electronic reporting.

Responsibilities

Summary of Role

You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs and replacements of sprinkler pipe work. This is a great opportunity for an individual interested in entering or returning to the sprinkler industry as a Service Engineer.

What you will be doing

• Responsible for PPM and small works projects across a few buildings


• Servicing all types of valve sets


• Carrying out 5 point flow tests on fire pumps

What we will need from you

• Experience in servicing all types of the following valve sets: Wet, dry, alternate, deluge and pre-Action (essential)


• Experience of carrying out 5-point flow tests on sprinkler fire pumps and general service checks (essential)


• Experience of Plumbing / Piping Knowledge & fault finding on sprinkler systems (essential)


• Must have a full UK driving license able to cover a regional role (essential)


• Sprinkler Installation Level 2 qualified (desirable)


• Previous experience gained within Commercial / Industrial buildings environment (desirable)


• Experience in small works install (desirable)


• Experience and understanding of electronic reporting (desirable)
