Job summary

AIS Marine Ltd in Plymouth, UK is seeking a skilled Sprayer to join our team, supporting the manufacture and supply of sprayed polyurethane products for marine, subsea and leisure industries.

You will set up and prepare spray operations, apply paints and PU finishes, maintain tools, and work to quality, health, safety and environmental standards. Day and night shifts are available, with a 40-hour week and opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience spraying within marine/automotive/aerospace is preferred.
• Experience using production machinery and equipment.
• Able to follow precise written instructions, specifications and drawings.
• Capable of keeping accurate written records.
• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team.
• PU spraying experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
• Must be able to work day shifts 6am-4.30pm and night shifts 8pm-6am.

Responsibilities

The role:

AIS Marine is looking for a skilled Sprayer to join our team in Plymouth, assisting in the manufacture and supply of sprayed polyurethane products for the marine, subsea and leisure industries.

What you will do as our Sprayer:

• Set up and preparation of products, tooling, equipment and materials for spray operations.
• Spraying products using a variety of materials, chemicals and equipment.
• Application of paint for a range of surface finishes to products.
• Airbrushing of paint finishes for leisure products.
• Maintaining tools and equipment, including cleaning and safe storage.
• Assisting other parts of production when needed.
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping; taking pride in your working areas.
• Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety and environmental management systems.

What are we looking for in our Sprayer:

• Experience spraying within the marine, automotive or aerospace industries.
• Experience using production machinery and equipment.
• Capable of following precise written instructions, specifications and drawings.
• Able to create and keep effective written records.
• Comfortable working alone on own initiative as well as being a strong team player.
• Experienced in spraying PU products (desired but not essential).
• Forklift licence (desired but not essential).
• Must be able to work day shifts 6am - 4.30pm and night shifts 8pm - 6am (40 hours per week).
