Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join our busy workshop. You will restore accident-damaged and sales vehicles to their former glory, working to high standards.

The role requires prior experience, energy, and the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. The position offers full-time hours (Mon-Thu 8:00–17:30, Fri 8:00–16:30) and generous benefits, including long annual leave, salary reviews twice a year, private healthcare, and

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Spray Painter in a professional workshop.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Able to work both in a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paintwork.
• Mask vehicles in preparation for paintwork.
• Carry out minor damage repairs.
• Polish to remove defects from paintwork.
• Mix paint to apply to vehicles.
• Apply paint products correctly and to a high standard.

Job description

We offer our Spray Paintors:

• Up to £47,000 OTE plus benefits
• Additional opportunity to earn up to £9,000 every three years in performance-based bonuses - terms and conditions apply

• 44 hours per week
• Starting from 33 days' annual leave, increasing with service

Hours

Full time: Monday - Thursday8am - 5.30pm and Friday 8am - 4.30pm

About the role

Working within a busy workshop environment, you'll work on accident-damaged and sales vehicles to restore them to their former glory.

You'll need to have previous experience, be energetic, efficient and happy to work on your own initiative to get every job done to the highest standard.

Essential skills

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Spray Painter in a professional workshop
• Good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• The ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing vehicles for paintwork
• Masking vehicles in preparation for paintwork
• Carrying out minor damage repairs
• Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintwork
• Mixing paint to apply to vehicles
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard
