A rapidly growing area of the product range is motorcycle apparel, an exciting and varied market spanning many areas of fashion and technology. The team now requires a Sportswear Assistant Designer to help accelerate product development and bring creative and innovative designs to our offering.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone with a background in Sportswear or Fashion Design, with a fashion/ sportswear/ textile related degree required. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of product development, design, trends, garment construction, new materials, and manufacturing processes. Demonstrable graphic design skills are also desirable.
This role needs someone who is both creative and organised, with the ability to support the development of new and existing products while working in a culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key skills include working well in a fast-paced environment, good organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. You should be comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite - especially Illustrator - as well as Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Outlook. Experience with CLO3D is also desirable, but not a necessity.
THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Assistant Designer supports the design team in developing cohesive and commercially viable product ranges by assisting with the creation of tech packs, BOMs, technical garment construction diagrams, trim artwork and assisting with general product development.
The role involves collaborating with multiple teams - including Buyers, Garment technologists and Graphic Designers - to ensure accurate development and cost-effective production of garments and packaging.
An Assistant Designer will keep abreast of industry trends, technology and innovations to contribute to product and material development, while also supporting a wide variety of products and materials. Strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are essential to help deliver quality products that meet market needs and brand standards.
The role offers the opportunity for international travel, including visits to trade shows and suppliers. Maintaining commercial awareness through customer visits and attending relevant exhibitions in the UK will also be valuable.
