Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment in London is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join a talented sports trading team. You’ll work with large datasets, building and refining quantitative models and applying statistical methods to uncover patterns and opportunities.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers and traders to enhance models and support data‑driven decisions using historical and live data. A strong maths/tech foundation and a passion for sports data are essential.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantitative Analyst to join a highly talented team within the sports trading industry in central London.


You will work with large and complex datasets, developing quantitative models and using statistical analysis to identify patterns, trends and opportunities within sports data. Working closely with experienced analysts, developers and trading teams, you will play an important role in improving models and supporting data-driven decision‑making.


This is an exciting opportunity for a quantitatively minded individual who is passionate about mathematics, statistics, data and sport and wants to develop their career within a fast‑paced sports trading environment.


Key Responsibilities

Desirable


  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience in data science or quantitative research.

  • Experience working with sports data.

  • Knowledge or experience of sports trading, sports betting or related quantitative environments.

  • Experience developing predictive or statistical models.

  • Understanding of machine learning techniques.
