Teaching Personnel is seeking a resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a sports background to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis in a Stockton primary school from January 2027.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sport, coaching, mentoring, or youth work, with strong behaviour management and the ability to engage, motivate and inspire pupils.
Pay is £100 per day, with 12.07% statutory holiday pay; this is a temporary position with potential for permanency.
Teaching Assistant (Sports Background) Required
We are recruiting for a resilient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a sports background to support a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis in a primary school in Stockton from January 2027.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in sport, coaching, mentoring, or youth work who can build positive relationships, provide consistent support, and help manage challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will use their ability to engage, motivate, and inspire pupils while promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
