Job description

We require a Sports Teaching Assistant to work with children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities. Your role will involve taking small groups of children and leading sports sessions for those who struggle to fulfill their classroom lesson times.

The ideal candidate will have a sporting background, a sports-related degree, coaching experience, and/or relevant badges.

The school we are recruiting for specializes in children with Moderate Learning Needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They believe in enabling all pupils to achieve their potential by providing a curriculum, learning environment, and support tailored to their individual needs.

This role is full-time, working 5 days a week from 8:30 to 15:30, with a permanent position after 16 weeks. The pay rate ranges from £89 to £100 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

You will support the whole school community by helping children regulate their emotions and challenging behaviors through sports interventions. You will assist children in understanding their emotions and developing social and emotional skills via effective communication and activities.
