Away Resorts Ltd at Tattershall Lakes is seeking an experienced Sports and Leisure Manager to lead our pools, water sports and leisure facilities. You will manage a team of lifeguards and supervisors, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction. The role covers scheduling events, driving guest experiences, and meeting commercial targets while maintaining legal standards.

• NPNQ and PPO qualifications are essential for this role.
• Strong people skills and guest-focused mindset are expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management of swimming pools, lake water sports, splash zone and leisure facilities to ensure safety and compliance.
• Schedule a full calendar of events across age groups and drive guest participation.
• Lead and develop a team of assistants, team leaders and lifeguards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Work weekends and bank holidays as part of a flexible shift pattern.

Salary: £34,000

Job type: Permanent, Full Time (40hrs)

About The Role

You will oversee the management our swimming pools, Lake water sports, splash zone and all the other fantastic leisure activities we have to offer (check out our website, some exciting stuff to get involved with). You’ll be looking after everyone’s safety, ensuring your areas of responsibility are safe, clean and meeting legal requirements and NOP’s. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to be a crucial part of the management team, contributing to the continual growth and development of the complex.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator who is seeking a challenge to enhance their career to the next level.

In this varied role, you’ll be responsible for creatively scheduling a full calendar of exciting events for various age groups. You’ll proactively introducing new leisure activities and encouraging increased participation.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends bank holidays too.

Skills, Experience, And Qualities You’ll Need

There’s plenty of training, but what we require you to already have:

• A current NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
• A current PPO (Pool Plant Operations) qualification
• Great interpersonal skills
