Job summary

AMA Admin is seeking a Sports Graduate - Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and other needs in secondary schools and SEND provisions. You will build positive relationships, mentor individuals and small groups, and work with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Sports, Sports Coaching, Physical Education or a related subject.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A resilient, patient and proactive approach.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to provide two recent references.

Responsibilities

Sports Graduate - Behaviour Mentor

Are you a Sports graduate looking to use your passion, resilience and leadership skills to support young people in education?

Do you want to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real difference to the lives of pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support?

We are currently seeking a dedicated Sports Graduate - Behaviour Mentor to work within secondary schools and specialist SEND provisions. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD and other additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Working alongside teachers, SEND professionals and pastoral teams, you'll build positive relationships with pupils, encourage engagement in learning and promote positive behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in Sports, Sports Coaching, Physical Education or a related subject.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A resilient, patient and proactive approach.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to provide two recent references.
