Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking Learning Support Assistants with a sports background to support students across primary to secondary settings in Eastleigh and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 and small group work, working with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and sports-based activities to enhance learning.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate enthusiasm for helping young people, strong communication skills, and flexibility to cover different ages and settings.

Qualifications

• Passion for sports and helping young people succeed.
• Ability to engage and motivate students across ages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to different settings and age ranges.
• Proactive and positive attitude with a can-do approach.
• Relevant qualifications or training in sports, education, or child development is an advantage.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support across lessons and subjects.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group support to boost engagement and progress.
• Support classroom activities with teachers to enhance learning.
• Encourage students and foster an inclusive, positive environment.
• Help plan and organise sports events, activities and projects.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student wellbeing and safety during activities.
