Sports Development Officer/Sports Technician

Ref: 107725

Location: Wakefield College, with travel to both Castleford and Selby College when required

Salary: £26,967 - £28,609 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sports Technician to join a friendly, supportive, and positive Sport and Public Services department. The role is varied with lots of opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.

You Will Be Required To

  • Increase student participation in sports and activities by helping deliver and inclusive and engaging programme.
  • Lead, organise and co-ordinate all aspects of College sport, including tournaments and AOC Sport fixtures.
  • Support staff by preparing classroom and sports-based activities
  • Keep an up to date inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and arrange timely ordering, replacement and maintenance of equipment.

As a Sports Technician you should be confident, well organised, and proactive, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service and student experience.

You Will Have

  • GCSE English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
  • A Level 3 qualification in a Sports related discipline
  • Experience of organising and supervising a range of operational activities

This is a diverse role where you will be building relationships with curriculum and support staff, and many other stakeholders.
