Sports Coaches - Primary School (Permanent Roles)
Location: Hyde, Greater Manchester
Salary: 24,000 - 30,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a thriving primary academy in Hyde to recruit two full-time Sports Coaches to deliver high-quality PE and sport across the full primary phase, from Nursery to Year 6.

These are permanent positions, and the successful candidates will work together as a team to inspire and engage pupils in physical education, helping to promote a healthy, active lifestyle and instil a lifelong love of sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured PE lessons following the school's Schemes of Work.

  • Plan and lead engaging sports activities across all year groups.

  • Support school events such as sports days, competitions, and extracurricular clubs.

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure PE provision meets the needs of all pupils.

  • Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, respect, and resilience.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in sport - either through playing, coaching, or teaching.

  • A relevant degree (e.g., Sports Science, Physical Education) or nationally recognised coaching qualifications.

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.

  • A passion for helping young people succeed through sport.
