Sports Coach

Secondary School in St Albans Long-term, Part-Time / Part-Time Starting Date: 8th September

Pay: £90-£110

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coach with a passion for promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in young learners? A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dynamic Sports Coach to lead enrichment sessions and support PE delivery across the school from September 2025.

With a supportive staff team and a strong focus on enrichment and extracurricular opportunities, this is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys inspiring children through sport.

Job Description:

  • Deliver high-energy sports sessions and PE lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Plan and lead enrichment activities, including lunchtime and after-school clubs
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and positive attitudes through sport
  • Support class teachers in delivering the PE curriculum and school sports events
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils
  • Be a positive role model who encourages participation and enjoyment in physical activity

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children in a sports or coaching capacity
  • Hold a relevant sports coaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Be energetic, reliable, and passionate about youth development
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of different age groups and abilities
