Do you have a background working with young people? Are you resilient, adaptable, and ready for a new challenge?

Quokka Education is proud to be working with a rapidly improving secondary school in Gosport, supporting them with high-quality local supply staff. We're looking for confident individuals with a background in sport who are adaptable, energetic, and ready to step in as cover supervisors straight away.

This is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience before starting teacher training. Through our partnerships, we can also introduce you to some of the best teacher training providers in Hampshire, including salaried routes to obtain QTS.

No previous experience? No problem. We'll provide all the training and support you need to get started.

What success looks like as a cover supervisor

Day 1-30

• Step into classrooms with confidence, keeping lessons on track with pre-planned content
• Follow school routines quickly and build positive first impressions
• Show reliability, professionalism, and adaptability in every booking

By 60 days

• Establish yourself as a trusted cover supervisor, requested back by local schools
• Confidently manage different year groups and subjects with calm authority
• Be recognised for consistency and positive behaviour management

By 90 days

• Become the go-to cover supervisor in your area
• Lead lessons independently and contribute to a positive classroom environment
• Build a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and impact

• Sports graduates, students, and aspiring PE teachers
• Sports coaches with experience mentoring young people
• Graduates looking to gain classroom experience before teacher training

• Position: Sports Coach/Cover Supervisor

• Hours: 8:30 am -3.00 pm, term time only
• Pay: From £115 per day via PAYE
