GSL Education are looking for a committed Sports Coach to join a school in the Wingerworth (S42) area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to use their sporting expertise to motivate pupils, boost their confidence, and promote healthy, active lifestyles while supporting their overall personal and academic growth.

Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:

• Plan and deliver engaging sports and physical activities to students across different year groups.
• Use sport as a positive tool to support pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.
• Assist teachers in PE lessons and provide classroom support when required.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and resilience in students through sports.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment during all activities.

Requirements for Sports Coach:

• Previous experience working as a Sports Coach or in a similar role with young people.
• A background in sports, fitness, or physical education (a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential).
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• A patient, proactive, and positive approach to engaging pupils.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• A CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
