Are you a Sports Coach or active individual with a passion for working with young people?

We’re looking for energetic and confident Sports Coaches to join local secondary schools in Wigan as Teaching Assistants. You’ll use your coaching skills to support pupils in the classroom, in small intervention groups, and during PE lessons – helping to boost engagement, confidence, and behaviour.

Ideal for:
️ Sports Coaches
Psychology or Sports Science graduates
Aspiring teachers or youth workers

The role:
Full-time Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Support pupils with behaviour, focus and social development
Deliver structured activities and movement-based interventions
Progression opportunities into Cover Supervisor or PE Technician roles

What you’ll need:
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
️ A positive, proactive attitude
Experience coaching or working with young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
