Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a Sports Coach in South Manchester to support pupils aged 4-11 with SEMH needs. You will lead engaging sports sessions and provide 1:1 support, working with safeguarding requirements and 1:1 monitoring.

This role is full-time on a temp-to-permanent basis, with a pay rate of £95-£115 per day, dependent on experience. Right to work in the UK and safeguarding checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sports coach or similar role.
• Ability to support pupils in a SEMH setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Create fun and engaging sessions involving sports and outdoor activity.
• Support pupils 1:1, building strong, trusting relationships.

Are you an experienced sports coach, looking for a new role with SEMH? We are currently working on behalf of a SEMH provision in South Manchester, to recruit passionate and dedicated sports coach to join their team.

The school is a pupil referral unit that supports pupils aged between 4-11, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role will be to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, using sports to encourage engagement.

As a Sports Coach, you will:

• Create fun and engaging sessions involving sports and outdoor activity
• Support pupils 1:1, building strong, trusting relationships
• Maintain regular communication with SLT, parents and external agencies to monitor progress and developmentWhat we are looking for:

What we are looking for:

• Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Team Teach training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• A passion for sports coaching and supporting young people

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two yearsOTHER
