Job description

Aspire People are looking for a Sports Coach for a role in Wythenshawe, Manchester within a primary school. The school is looking for an experienced sports coach to spend 50% of their time working with children in the classroom and the other 50% delivering sports / PE. The school caters for students aged 5 - 11 and has a high percentage of children with SEND, predominantly those on the autism spectrum, many of whom display challenging behaviours.

The school is Ofsted judged "Outstanding" and has excellent facilities on site. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis when not delivering PE, and you will be expected to coach students in a range of sports during the rest of your time. You will be expected to work with students who have additional needs, some of whom may display challenging behaviours.

The candidate must be available full time and able to work from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. The candidate must have some experience working with children and ideally come from a sports coaching background. You should be confident, hard-working, and empathetic.
