Are you passionate about sport and committed to making a difference in young people's lives?


We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a welcoming school in North Bristol.

This is a unique dual-role position where you will work both as a Sports Coach and a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with a strong interest in sports who also need help developing their social and emotional skills.

You will:

  • Deliver and support engaging sports sessions across the school day.

  • Work closely with individual pupils or small groups to build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviours.

  • Assist in the classroom, helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Use sport and physical activity as a vehicle to inspire, motivate, and develop pupils socially, emotionally, and academically.

  • Experience in sports coaching, ideally in a school or youth setting.

  • A patient, nurturing approach to working with young people, particularly those with additional social or emotional needs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A relevant coaching qualification or TA qualification is desirable, but not essential.

  • A passion for making a positive impact through sport.

  • A supportive and friendly school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
