Job summary

Cheadle Hulme High School is seeking a friendly Sports Centre Assistant to help run the school’s sports facilities at Cheadle Hulme Sports Centre. You will support daily operations, set up equipment, maintain cleanliness and supervise activities for community groups during weekend sessions.

The role requires practical abilities, including moving equipment safely, and GCSEs in Maths and English. The position offers weekend hours: Saturday 8am–6pm and Sunday 1:30pm–9:30pm, with opportunities to

• GCSEs Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to move heavy equipment safely.

• Liaise with the Heads of the School PE Department to ensure smooth operation/changeover between school and community use.
• Set up and supervise gym and sports facilities; day-to-day cleaning and closing procedures.

Cheadle Hulme Sports Centre are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sports Centre Assistant to join their team. In this role you will assist in the smooth running of the Sports Centre facilities. Cheadle Hulme Sports Centre has a variety of sporting facilities available to hire to local community groups and sporting clubs. In this role, the ideal candidate will play a key part in ensuring our facilities provide a welcoming and positive experience for all our new members. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting the daily interaction with community users along with the day-to-day cleaning, setting up and supervision of gym and sports facilities.

Please note the working hours for this role are Saturday - 8am- 6pm and Sunday 1:30pm-9:30pm.

Key Skills & Experience

• Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
