Job summary

Brighton & Hove Albion FC invites applications for a Sports BTEC Tutor at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre, Lancing. The role delivers BTEC Level 2/3 Extended Diploma in Sport, oversees A-Level provision, and supports PE across KS3–KS4 Day Release (YDP) with Sporting Excellence Apprenticeship involvement.

You will work with our academy team, integrating dynamic learning strategies, conducting internal verification, and tracking student progress.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for delivery of BTEC Sport and PE across KS3–KS5.
• Experience teaching and assessing BTEC Sport at KS4/KS5 is required.
• Strong ability to integrate e-learning and track academic progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess the BTEC Level 2/3 Extended Diploma in Sport.
• Oversee A-Level provision and PE delivery across KS3–KS4 Day Release (YDP).
• Support the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship.
• Create a modern, inspiring learning environment and use e-learning strategies.
• Track and report on academic progress and contribute to personal development programmes.

Empower the next generation of football talent on and off the pitch

You will take ownership of the delivery and assessment of the BTEC Level 2/3 Extended Diploma in Sport, oversee our A-Level provision, contribute to PE delivery across KS3 & KS4 Day Release (YDP) and support the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship. Day-to-day, you will create an inspiring, modern learning environment that challenges and stretches our young players. Working closely with our multidisciplinary academy team, you will integrate dynamic e-learning strategies, carry out internal verification, track and report on academic progress, and actively contribute to personal development and life-skills programmes.

We are seeking an energetic, forward-thinking educator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance sporting environment. You are passionate about youth development and understand the unique pressures elite young athletes face as they balance football and studies. You will have experience of teaching and assessing BTEC Sport at KS4 and KS5 level. It is essential that you have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
