Job Title: Sport Assistant

We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to supervise the security and safety of all users at York Sport, ensuring they enjoy their experience across all facilities.

Our Mission: To inspire everyone to embrace active lifestyles, exercise, and participate in sports. We offer the widest range of first-class sport, health, and fitness facilities, services, and programs in the city. We encourage individuals of all abilities to enjoy sport, with various pay-as-you-go and membership options. Our facilities include over 39 acres of sports fields and indoor spaces supporting diverse sports, clubs, and teams.

Role Responsibilities: As a Sport Assistant, you will be highly motivated, committed to providing first-class service to all York Sport facility users, and capable of fulfilling a wide range of practical duties. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. A strong interest in sport and leisure activities and a dedication to high-quality service are essential. The successful candidate will need to obtain an NPLQ qualification within six months if not already held.

Working Hours and Salary: The role involves 37 hours per week on a three-week rolling rota, including one weekend in three, with a mix of early and late shifts. The salary ranges from £26,550.88 to £27,129.67 annually.
