Part-time hours – 3.5-4 days (15-16 teaching hours) per week
Temporary to Perm – Starting August/September 2024
Pay – £29.84 per hour initially, then rising to £31-£44K (pro rata)

The role;

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Public Services and Sports Lecturer to join our team.
This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and support to our students, contributing to the development of our Public Services and Sports Academy Programmes, and participating in the wider college community.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. To teach and assess a range of Public Services/Sports qualifications
  2. To contribute to the delivery and development of Public Services/Sports Academy Programmes
  3. To be a tutor to full or part-time students
  4. To take an active part in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and counselling of students
  5. To be an active member of relevant course teams or other groups, and to attend course team and other meetings
  6. To take an active part in curriculum development for specific courses and, where appropriate, across the department
  7. To participate in and contribute to course evaluation and review
  8. Liaising with the appropriate awarding bodies to ensure that the criteria for course approval are being met and implemented
  9. Carrying out effective evaluation of courses
