Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking a Lecturer in Sport to join the Crewe Campus team. You will lecture on Sport courses, train and assess learners in College and workplace settings, and help promote college enrichment sports teams to enhance student experience.

The role requires a degree in Sport, teaching qualification or progress towards, and an enhanced DBS check. The college offers development programmes and extensive professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sport (or equivalent) is required.
• Teacher training such as PGCE/DTLLS/CertEd or working towards.
• GCSE English and Maths (C/4+) required.
• Proven experience teaching Sport.
• Understanding of awarding body standards and requirements.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and learning environment.
• Experience in further Education.
• Up-to-date occupational experience.
• Enhanced DBS Check.

Responsibilities

• Lecturing on a range of Sport Courses.
• Train and assess learners in the workplace and College environment.
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons.
• Keep accurate records for learners' progress in College and the workplace.
• Actively promote and coordinate college enrichment sports teams.
