Job summary

Behaviour & ALN Support role in Swansea is seeking a resilient and energetic individual to join a Specialist Teaching Facility within a primary school setting. This role focuses on supporting pupils with ADDITIONAL LEARNING NEEDS, including ASC, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, and sensory processing difficulties.

The successful candidate will use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, build trust, and encourage positive behaviours both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ALN and diverse needs is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Ability to motivate and engage pupils through physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Using sport and physical activity as a tool for engagement and behaviour support.
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Implementing behaviour strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
• Supporting classroom learning and educational activities.
• Building positive relationships with pupils who may find school challenging.
• Encouraging communication, social interaction, and independence.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff to achieve pupil goals.
