Are you passionate about improving health, wellbeing and opportunities for local communities through sport and physical activity?

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Sport Development officer to help deliver the ambitious Greenwich Get Active Physical Activity and Sport Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative programmes that support residents to become more active, improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities across the borough. Working with schools, community organisations, health services, sports clubs, leisure providers and national governing bodies, you will develop and deliver projects that create lasting change for local people.

About the Role

You will:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with diverse communities and engaging underrepresented groups.
  • Knowledge of how sport and physical activity improve health and reduce inequalities.
  • Experience monitoring performance, evaluating outcomes and producing reports.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
