Job description

Location: Birmingham – 3 to 4 days on site across Birmingham

Contract Duration: 6 months

Hays is collaborating with the local council to recruit a dedicated Sport Development Finance Officer. This role is pivotal in supporting and assisting the council in managing and controlling the finance budget and projects across their sport development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Actively support the service in seeking funding for the capital portfolio.
2. Support the Senior Sports Manager with the capital portfolio within the Sports Team.
3. Assist in activation programmes of new and additional capital assets within the portfolio, including S106 development and utilisation of CIL funds and agreements.

1. Experience in sports development or a related field.
2. Strong planning and organisational skills.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Experience in Finance Project Management.
