Libertatem Healthcare is seeking experienced Spinal Injury Support Workers to work with a male spinal injury client near Carrickfergus.

Hours:

Mixture of day shifts - 08:00-20:00 (with alternate weekends)

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting independence and rehabilitation
  • Providing personalized support according to support plans
  • Understanding and following care plans, seeking clarification when needed
  • Participating in care plan reviews
  • Working professionally with multidisciplinary teams
  • Promoting self-care and independence
  • Assisting with mobility, feeding, washing, bathing, dressing
  • Managing neurogenic bladder and bowel care
  • Assisting with domestic tasks and shopping
  • Providing emotional support
  • Using moving and handling equipment safely
  • Monitoring skin integrity
  • Administering medication as per care plans
  • Supporting rehabilitation activities
  • Monitoring health indicators and reacting to changes
  • Delivering culturally sensitive support
  • Documenting progress accurately

An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided. Support from a clinical lead nurse is available.

Weekly pay. This role offers a great opportunity to develop skills in support work alongside professionals.
