Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Spinal Clinical Nurse Specialist & Pathway Lead to coordinate spinal services across Cromwell Hospital and Bupa Health Centre Canary Wharf. You will lead clinical pathways, mentor teams, and drive service improvements to enhance patient experience.

The role combines expert clinical leadership with pathway development, governance, and education, supporting growth of a premier spinal service within a premium healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with a current NMC PIN and UK registration.
• Significant experience in spinal, orthopaedic, neurosurgical, pain or MSK services.
• Sedation trained with experience supporting interventional procedures.
• Proven autonomous senior clinical, CNS or pathway leadership experience.
• Strong record in service development, pathway redesign and implementing new ways of working.
• Experience leading quality improvement, governance and patient outcomes.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consultant relationships.
• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the specialist clinical lead for spinal conditions across care pathways.
• Provide expert advice, education and support to patients, families and teams.
• Coordinate complex patient journeys ensuring seamless care and excellent experience.
• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of innovative spinal pathways.
• Drive quality improvement, governance and outcomes monitoring.
• Collaborate with consultants and senior stakeholders to grow services.
• Deliver education and training programmes for colleagues.
• Champion best practice in complex spinal care.
• Support evidence-based service development through audits and redesign.
