Job description

Speech Pathologist - Probationary Appointments (4 positions available), effective as soon as possible. Servicing elementary students. NYS certification required. Minimum salary $50,792, actual salary based on education and experience pursuant to the wage schedule posted on the district’s website. NYS certification required.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies.
  • Provide therapy sessions to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy through professional development.
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
