Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Contract Type: Temporary 1 year

The Romero Catholic Academy is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilledSpeech and Language Therapy Assistantto join our Central Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a dynamic and supportive Multi Academy Company (MAC), helping pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) thrive across eight schools.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering targeted language interventions under the guidance of qualified therapists
  • Supporting inclusive classroom practices and adapting learning materials
  • Working one-to-one or with small groups to build communication confidence
  • Collaborating with SENCo, teachers, parents, and external specialists
  • Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Helping young people navigate key transitions with tailored communication support

What we’re looking for:
We’re after someone with experience in educational or care settings who understands the impact of communication on learning. Patience, empathy, and a strong team ethic are essential. Familiarity with AAC strategies, Makaton, and phonics is a definite plus.
