An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading independent specialist day school in South West London. The school provides high-quality education for children and young people aged 10–20 with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and associated behavioural needs.

Main Duties
  • Undertake detailed speech and language assessments for children and young people with a range of neurodevelopmental conditions and communication needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate personalised therapy plans using evidence-based approaches.
  • Support education and care staff to embed communication strategies and therapeutic approaches throughout the school day.
  • Deliver individual and group interventions tailored to pupils’ needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions, annual reviews, and EHCP documentation.
  • Provide training, supervision, and advice to colleagues and families to promote consistency and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional standards and school policy.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
  • Experience working with children and young people with autism, ADHD, and associated speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Understanding of SEMH and developmental trauma within an educational context.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS (can be arranged if not current).
  • Right to work in the UK.
