Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide line management and clinical supervision to junior Speech and Language Therapists, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Specialist Interventions: Plan, deliver, and evaluate interventions across the three tiers of support (universal, targeted, and specialist), tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs of learners with autism.
  • Collaborative Practice: Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing your expertise in speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research and evaluative thinking to your practice, ensuring interventions are grounded in robust clinical evidence.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Use your experience and creativity to develop innovative strategies to support learners' communication and social skills effectively.
What We're Looking For
  • A qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including those with complex needs and co-occurring conditions.
  • Strong skills in delivering interventions across universal, targeted, and specialist levels, using frameworks such as SCERTS or PECS.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, with experience in clinical reasoning and developing individualised intervention plans.
  • A commitment to reflective practice, continuous professional development, and contributing to the development of innovative service delivery.
