Job summary

Linq Recruitment Specialists is recruiting for a Speech & Language Therapist to join a specialist school in Walsall. You will support pupils aged 7-18 with EHCPs in a small-class setting and work within a multidisciplinary team to develop communication skills.

The role is permanent and term-time-only, with a Monday-Friday pattern. Applicants should be HCPC registered and committed to working with children with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech & Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Newly qualified candidates welcome to apply.
• Band 6 level or experienced Band 5 preferred.
• SEN or specialist education experience desirable.
• Makaton knowledge advantageous but not essential.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils and identify speech, language and communication needs.
• Deliver one-to-one and group therapy.
• Complete clinical reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to EHCPs and annual reviews.
• Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants and other professionals.
• Support pupils within the classroom and wider school environment.
