We are supporting the development of a SEND school’s therapeutic offer and have exciting opportunities for a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant looking for practical experience to build on their career in therapy. This is an established and well facilitated SEND school located in London, easily accessed via a number of public transport links. Alternatively, parking is available for drivers. We are actively seeking an engaging and passionate Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to add to their friendly and talented SEND staff team. The school provides education to children with a range of needs including, MLD, SLD, PMLD, PD, neurological conditions and brain injuries. We are looking to speak to professional and committed support staff who are passionate about therapeutic intervention, even if your experience is informal/voluntary, we want to hear from you!

Speech and Language Therapy Assistant requirements

• Essential – Passion for working with young people who require additional support in order to access education and social development
• Essential – Experience of working with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, or experience with SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, social communication
• Essential – Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships
• Beneficial – Experience in neurological rehabilitation
• Beneficial – Experience in therapy support/interventions
