Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to join Cumberland School in Bolton. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapeutic interventions based on clinical assessment for children with complex needs.

The role offers full-time hours at a specialist day school with a supportive clinical development programme and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience with children and young people with complex needs.
  • Ability to deliver individualised interventions based on assessment and formulation.
  • Be a confident, engaging trainer and leader with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic interventions for children and young people based on clinical assessment.
  • Collaborate with educational and residential colleagues to support living and learning environments.

This role is based at Cumberland School.

Cumberland School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education for boys and girls. Based in Rivington, Lancashire, the school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties and co-existing ADHD, speech, language and communication difficulties and attachment disorders.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children's homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people.
