Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist, Adult Assessments - Huddersfield

Role: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved practice dedicated to providing high-quality psychological care across the UK and Ireland.

They offer neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children, expert witness assessments, and assessments in criminal, family, immigration, and medico-legal cases, with a proven track record in NHS contracts.

The Role:

This is a vital role within a busy service, providing assessments to adults, including autism and ADHD assessments via NHS referrals. The role is hybrid, with some remote work and attendance at the office.

The clinician will conduct comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic evaluations for autism and ADHD, and possibly mental health conditions, using established tools.

Responsibilities include writing assessment reports, providing recommendations, and potentially supervising junior staff.

Qualifications:

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Experience in neurodevelopmental assessments with adults
• Experience with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health in adults
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and assessment tools for autism and ADHD
• Knowledge of differential diagnosis
• Ideally ADOS-2/ADI-R trained
• Excellent communication skills
• Teamwork ability
• Report writing and record keeping experience
• Additional qualifications in autism and/or ADHD
• Clinical supervision experience
