Job summary

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for two full-time band 5 Speech and Language Therapists at Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital Grimsby. The role involves working within the acute and community stroke teams with opportunities for cross-site cover.

You will assess and treat adults with communication and feeding/swallowing disorders, with supervision and training toward dysphagia management, and contribute to community services

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of Speech and Language Therapy service as an autonomous practitioner.
• Work as part of the SLT team to deliver services for inpatients and outpatients.
• Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based, patient-centred approaches to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, including discharge planning.
• Provide specialist assessment, management and treatment for adults with communication disorders and feeding/swallowing disorders when dysphagia competencies are reached.
• Deliver community services across North and North East Lincolnshire.
