Qualifications

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children's homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, and special educational needs.

This role is based at Cedar House School, covering for maternity leave. Enabling young people to progress and succeed is part of the DNA of Cedar House School, achieved by truly celebrating each individual's talents.

The primary provision ensures a nurturing environment and extensive therapeutic support, facilitating a seamless transition to secondary education with a broad curriculum and vocational opportunities. The state-of-the-art residential offering benefits those residing at the school, providing a 24-hour curriculum in a homely, personalized environment.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessments, you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people.

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • Proven skills and experience in engaging and delivering therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
  • Experience supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments
  • Be a confident, engaging model, guide, leader, and trainer
  • Highly organized and proactive
